How to Fly With Broken Wings by Jane Elson
This is such a cute cover. I really like these covers that look like they’ve been painted – particularly the layers and textures int his one. It looks almost like someone has made it using printing techniques – the bunting on the top could have been made by potato printing. It gives it a really lovely feel.
Plus, this is a story about a boy with autism – and I like how the girl in the picture is bright and colourful, because it’s suggestive of their differences in personality. I’m also assuming that’s the London Eye in between them, a nice, subtle nod to location.
What covers are you lusting after this week?
