Cover Lust #28 – Found by Harlan Coben
This cover is a bit different to the previous two, which were much more symbolically suggestive. But I really like this change. It’s much more targeted at a younger audience, making it clear that this is a YA series, not a continuation of Coben’s adult series.
The basketball playing is a reference to the main character’s favourite past time, and the characters look like they’re having a good time, suggestive of a happy ending to the series, or perhaps a juxtaposition against the darkness? This is what they should be doing, but instead they’re facing off against evil people.
Either way, I like it. I think you could be forgiven for thinking it wasn’t a crime novel, but the weight of Coben’s name is enough to let you know what you’re getting into. Looking forwards to reading this one.
What covers are you lusting after this week?
