Cover Lust #5 – The Dead Wife’s Handbook by Hannah Beckerman
There’s something wonderfully whimsical about this. The dull colours contrasted against the splashes of orange and pink reflects the mood of the narrative (I’ve only heard the first chapter or so on the Penguin Podcast) where the narrator is in a blank dead world, looking down on the colourful lives of the living.
I love her blank face and the swirls of her hair. I love the simplicity of the grey background, leaving all your attention on the hair and flowers. I love the way the colours are kept to one bold tone and reused in the lettering.
I’m really excited about reading this one. Just a few more (equally exciting) books to plough through before it’s top of my list!
