Cover Lust #4 – The God Beneath the Sea by Leon Garfield and Edward Blishen
Why is this cover not plastered everywhere all over the internet at the moment? With the re-release being last week, I thought it would get a lot more attention. I mean, look at it – it’s gorgeous.
I have this book on my desk right now, and it’s even better in the flesh. You can’t really tell from the picture, but the silver bits are shiny, catching the light beautifully within the swirling blue lines of the horses.
There are illustrations all through the book in the same style as the front cover – a mass of energetic lines that form an almost living image that seems to leap off the page. Absolutely beautiful presentation of an excellent book!
What covers are you lusting over this week?
