Summer Break Reading Challenge Activity #9

The challenge this time is to give people an idea of a book we’ve been reading through pictures.

So, I’ve just finished reading The Dead by David Gatward (review to follow) and thought it was pretty good fun. Here’s my picture description of it.

Lazarus Stone is an ordinary teenage boy about to turn sixteen…

…he’s all alone at home as his father, who works in security, is out on business. Again…

…Lazarus doesn’t get on with his father, who still mourns for his wife. She died in a car crash that Lazarus survived when he was just three years old…

…All his father seems to care about is his work and fixing up old clocks…

…Lazarus is quite happy to be on his own, until he catches the horrific scent of rotting meat…

…A gruesome stranger, claiming to be his father’s friend, appears in his living room and tells him that all Hell is breaking loose. Literally…

…Now it’s up to Lazarus, his best mate Craig, and the mysterious Arielle to stop them because…

…The Dead are coming!
