Day Twenty-Six – A Song That You Can Play On An Instrument
I can play lots of songs on the piano, but this one is my current project. I can play most of it, but can’t quite get the end. It’s fiddly. I Giorni by Ludovico Einaudi.

Day Twenty-Five – A Song That Makes You Laugh
Taking my inspiration from Ivy here, recalling a childhood favourite band. I love this album, and the lyrics to this song are hilarious. Neighbourhood by Space.
Day Twenty-Four – A Song That You Want To Play At Your Funeral
There are plenty of sad, mournful tunes in my music library, but this one is most consistently my favourite. And I like the idea of people at my funeral closing their eyes and seeing me dancing, laughing loud and undiminished. Freedom by David Gray.
I’ve set up a new blog with my siblings on which we will be talking about our music. Anyone who’s interested in our musical escapades can find us at Not Quite Music.
Day Twenty-three – A Song That You Want To Play At Your Wedding
I’m sure most people are thinking about romantic songs to walk down the aisle to, but as I can’t think of a single one, I’m fast forwarding the night to the point where everyone has had a few too many beverages and the dance floor is filling up. At this point I want this song to come on, because it always makes me feel like dancing. Come On Eileen by Dexy’s Midnight Runners.
Day Twenty-Two – A Song You Listen To When You Are Sad
Plenty of contenders for this one. Gonna go for Where I Stood by Missy Higgins. Just because.
Day Twenty-one – A Song You Listen To When You Are Happy
I don’t really know why this is any different from a song that makes you happy… hmmm. Looking at my Top 25 Most Played is like looking at the who’s who of depressing classics. Not because I’m depressed – I just like depressing music. And I do listen to it when I’m happy.
The band I’ve chosen do a lot of depressing music, but their country twang never fails to make me happy. And Life Is A Highway by the Rascal Flatts is an awesome song that would compliment anyone’s happy mood.
Day Twenty – A Song You Listen To When You’re Angry
I don’t really do angry music. I like listening to angry music, but I don’t tend to listen to it when I’m angry. Mostly because I usually don’t have the mental capacity to sit and pick tunes when I’ve worked myself into a rage…
I do like My Chemical Romance though, when I’m in a bit of a sour mood. Give ‘Em Hell Kid is my favourite – it was the song that described a character of mine with a few anger issues and a fascination with explosives.
Day Nineteen – A Song From Your Favourite Album
Again with this idea of favourite… I’m going to go with Warning Sign from A Rush Of Blood To The Head by Coldplay, as I think it’s the best album in terms of consistency of excellence. There isn’t a single song on it that I dislike (though Clocks did get a bit overplayed). It’s one of those albums that I forget how much I like it until it comes up randomly on iTunes. I always love rediscovering it.
Day Eighteen – A Song You Wish You Heard On The Radio
I don’t listen to the radio very often because I have an iPod radio converter in my car, so I’ve always got my own tunes. However, on the odd occasions when I do listen to the radio, I wish they would play less rubbish and more Starsailor, who are very underrated in my opinion. This is Lullaby, one of my favourites of theirs:
